SOUFRIERE volcano Tour

From 80€

Immerse yourself in a journey to the highest summit in the Lesser Antilles. La Soufrière, nicknamed “The Old Lady,” is an active volcano on the island of Basse-Terre and offers magnificent panoramic views of the entire archipelago of Guadeloupe and neighboring islands. Located in the national park, Le Parc National de la Guadeloupe, is an experience not to be missed. With its unique vegetation and rock formations, and the smell of sulfur in the air, the hike is almost surreal.

You will travel south from Deshaies along the coastline on board a Defender 4x4 to revel in the beauty of the leeward coast. For the hike up, our guides can answer any questions you have and you will be provided with a topographical guide. Along the route are signs with information on the trails, fauna, flora and history of the area.

After descending, we will eat lunch in a local restaurant with local Caribbean cuisine and share a Ti Punch (local rum drink) to ponder the wonders of the great volcano. Then, you will have the pleasure of touring the plantation of a local coffee producer in Baillif, where you can taste and buy some of the rarest and finest coffee in the world: Guadeloupe Bonifieur. At the end of the afternoon, you arrive at the natural hot springs of Bouillante to bathe in the warm waters and watch the sunset. Afterwards, you head back to Deshaies with the colors in the sky from the setting sun in the distance.

With family, friends or a seminar, treat yourself to an unforgettable climb. Possibility of climbing the Soufriere accompanied by an official mountain guide. Get a discounted rate by combining these two activities.
